Alvin Langdon Coburn
Five volumes of his photographs as Platinum Prints
A series of five Volumes (each in an edition of only forty five) each Volume containing five platinum-palladium prints of Coburn’s photographs, published by us in association with The George Eastman House.
Every Volume also contains a platinum print of Coburn’s self-portrait, “The Copper Plate Press” photographed in 1908.
The print sizes vary, as each image has been printed full-frame, with an over-mount illustrating how Coburn determined the composition and final size of his prints.
Included in each Volume is an essay, detailing Coburn’s life and work, by Pam Roberts, former curator of The Royal Photographic Society and a foreword by Therese Mulligan, former curator at George Eastman House.
Each print is numbered and authenticated with both a “George Eastman House” and a “31 Studio” blind stamp.
No further editions will be printed.
